Nigeria's Amendment to Regional Safety Committee Proposal

The regional blocs will be made up of the member states who physically reside within defined regions. The regions will be north America, western Europe, northern Asia, southeast Asia, northern Africa, southern Africa, Oceania, South America, Central America and the Middle East. No nation will have the power to join a regional committee who oversees a region that said nation does not have territory in. Furthermore, nations will not be able to interfere with the affairs of a regional bloc they do not belong to. Any inter committee affairs will be carried out in a general forum of all member states, and will be moderated by the IAEA.

Nigeria's Wish for Nuclear Safety Regulation

Nigeria has stated that it believes the best way to regulate nuclear security, is through small regional sanctions and organizations, versus massive global agencies.

Apology Futile, Resolution Needed

Nigeria and Israel state that giving or receiving an apology is not the main issue, the main issue is South Asian security, and what resolution can be formed to prevent this from happening again. Nigeria claims that apologies are not the currency of the world right now, and have no place in a debate over South Asian security. An apology will neither help nor harm each country, therefore there is no point in further discussion over who should give an apology because it holds no importance at this time.
