In recent news, Pakistan retracts all apologies to India. India states that they are opposed to Pakistan, and want everyone to work with them and oppose Pakistan as well. Tensions have been suddenly escalated between the two countries, and violence seems to be the only solution unless a plan can be swiftly created to absolve the issues between the two nations.

Peace Almost Reached, Reports of Clashes
India and Pakistan have apologized to each other, and are now working together to solve the issues at hand. In breaking news, however, clashes along the Indian and Pakistani border have just occurred and violence is growing. France does a complete turnaround, and proposes Pakistani forces to stand down, and mentions nothing about Indian forces doing the same. Some believe that France is now on India’s side.
BREAKING NEWS- India and Pakistan Closer to Peace
After a 10 minute caucus Isreal has now submitted a proposal for an open talk with Pakistan, based on the premise that Pakistan has been moving without evidence. Both India and France are on board. In response, India has just now formally apologized to Pakistan where Pakistan has reciprocated the apology.

South Asian Security: Day 1
Today began the first of many meetings concerning the India-Pakistan cyber-attacks. The passionate arguments from all present countries at the South Asian security meeting proved to come from all sides and reflect many courses of action. One theme that was generally accepted across the board by many countries was the insistence upon remaining as neutral as possible in this matter due to their tight economic and diplomatic ties with both India and Pakistan. However though this stance resonated with most countries, several countries, such as Israel, Pakistan, India, and South Africa. Since Israel and Pakistan have had bad past relations concerning its statehood, Israel took an extreme Pro-India stance. Being that they were the main countries involved in the whole situation, India and Pakistan firmly supported the innocence of their countries, both demanding an apology from the other, though the source of the cyber-attacks is still unknown. However perhaps the most surprising view came from the non-involved nation of South Africa, who throughout the entire simulation was in strong support of there being an investigation by the National Criminal Court and that peace keeping forces and economic sanctions be set into place.
As the initial phases of the meeting were complete, the debates shed light on how the rest of the country felt in terms of holding investigations on the cyber-attacks and how to go about such. There was a decent amount of support for South Africa’s idea of holding an investigation to find the perpetrator of the actual attacks and Germany and the U.K. supported this proposal as well. The basic perimeters of this motion included talks between Indian and Pakistani diplomats as well as a ceasefire agreement which would lead to economic sanctions if an agreement could not be reached. Though the bill was not passed on the grounds of the economic sanctions having a reverse negative effect and instead hurting more than helping the situation by negatively affecting other nations. Playing on the failures of the South African proposal, Russia brought up the idea of having a more transparent cyber-attack investigation with no sanctions and 7 neutral countries on the committee with the goal of finding a guilty party. As the meeting drew to a close there was no clear resolution in sight and the topic that caused the most unrest was still economic sanctions.

Tough Negotiations Ahead
Washington –With cyber security negotiations off to a hopeful start, the delegates take their seats. Having delivered their opening statements, each country makes clear its peaceful, cooperative intentions to the council—almost all of them, anyways. Tension can be felt even in the first day, as Pakistan leaves the council with its blunt statement. “We strongly condemn these cyber attacks by India” Pakistan delegate says. “And we encourage the international community to condemn them as well”. Later, in an interview, the delegate stated confidently, “India is responsible. We are one hundred per cent sure of it”.
In a private conversation with India’s representatives, Pakistan’s claims were denied. “As history shows, Pakistan is the clear aggressor here,” India’s representative countered. Though the opening negotiations were—for the most part—peaceful, all members present can feel the friction between these two countries. Both countries claim their willingness to cooperate with the international community; however, some remain skeptical as to just how far India and Pakistan can extend this appeal. Surely, with the toughest negotiations ahead of this council, only time will tell.

Russia Opposes Economic Sanction
Russia states that they are against the economic sanctions proposed by Germany, South Africa and the UK. They are against this because they believe that nobody knows how these sanctions will affect their economy or the world economy. Brazil and Israel are also against these sanctions because of the same reasons. Israel also is against the sanctions because of their close economic ties with India. The countries believe that sanctions would also ruin relations between these countries. Russia also states that they have not achieved anything since the start of the discussion. The resolution without amendments has just been rejected as a result of the vote.
India and Pakistan Strike Back at Proposal
India and Pakistan voice their standpoint:
Pakistan has spoken in response to German and UK proposal. Pakistan feels there’s no evidence of their own attacks and there is a double standard present which is by nature "morally inaccurate". Pakistan does not believe other countries should take a role in their own conflict and it should remain between India and Pakistan. India has commented and refuses negotiation without an apology.

Possible Economic Sanction on India and Pakistan
Germany, South Africa and the UK want to launch an investigative committee, and want to encourage peace talks. These countries also want to call for a cease fire. If there is no cooperation between India and Pakistan, these countries will move to place economic sanctions on each country until a solution can be made. They also believe that all countries should share all the knowledge they know about these attacks in order to find the route of the problem.

Apology Futile, Resolution Needed
Nigeria and Israel state that giving or receiving an apology is not the main issue, the main issue is South Asian security, and what resolution can be formed to prevent this from happening again. Nigeria claims that apologies are not the currency of the world right now, and have no place in a debate over South Asian security. An apology will neither help nor harm each country, therefore there is no point in further discussion over who should give an apology because it holds no importance at this time.
Stalemate Between India and Pakistan
BBC News Update: Pakistan and Indian Conflict
A caucus has currently be requested. Nations India and Pakistan have reached a stalemate where India has requested an apology from Pakistan and an enforcement by the UN to reduce or eliminate nuclear possession in Pakistan. Meanwhile, Germany has proposed the idea of a "peace keeping force" and a channel of communication via the UN. While France and South Africa are onboard with this proposal Brazil and Russia feel the countries should resolve matters on their own hands. Israel, while remaining neutral has been quoted "we believe Pakistan should apologize. While we remain neutral, our opinions may alter if Pakistan continues on its current stand point".

Pakistan Accuses Pakistan of Bully Tactics
Pakistan states that India has accused them too much, and is being rude to Pakistan. India has shown aggression to Pakistan, and seems to be bullying the country. Pakistan wants to remind the world that India has more power than them, and in any struggle, could easily take the upper hand. Pakistan simply wants peace in this conflict, and wants to end it quickly to avoid further engagements.
