UN Secretary General Concerned about Nuclear Safety Committee's Resolution

The UN Secretary General today expressed serious misgivings about the
draft resolution on nuclear safety being discussed by the Security
Council's nuclear safety committee. "By delegating to the General
Assembly the responsibility for defining regional structures the
Security Council risks abdicating its responsibility." Nuclear safety
experts also expressed concerns about the current direction of
Security Council negotiations.
