Several highly-placed intelligence sources in Europe report that the
computer worm responsible for recent damage to nuclear facilities in
several countries bears a striking resemblance to the Stuxnet worm
that affected Iran's nuclear facilities several years ago. U.S. and
Israeli intelligence services were reportedly involved in the
development of the Stuxnet worm, and officials from both governments
have tacitly admitted their involvement in that attack. The
intelligence sources believe that the original Stuxnet worm may have
been modified in some way either by a government or possibly by
non-governmental actors.
