Security Council Takes Reigns, Tensions Rise

As the Nuclear Safety council moves to pass its current resolution involving

its “regional safety commissions,” arguments arise regarding the potential

consequences of the aforementioned commissions. The main problem, which

has seemed to emerge, is the potential for military alliances to evolve out of

these commissions, potentially causing power struggles throughout the world. In

response the UN Security Council delegates have assured all that they “will take

care of it.” Many general assembly members seem to have taken this with a grain of

salt, causing clear tensions between the members of this resolution and those who

oppose it. Potential amendments remain in the writing process.
